The Centenary Institute in Camperdown ordered for what looked like a working session that needed food people could actually eat without interrupting what they were doing. Two platters of cocktail spinach and ricotta filo pastry sat alongside two platters of veg and vegan curry puffs, and the combination meant nobody had to think too hard about whether something suited them.
The filo pastries are the kind of thing that disappear quietly. Light enough that people take one, then circle back. The curry puffs bring a bit more to the table, and having the vegan option built into the same platter rather than treated as an add-on made a noticeable difference for a team that size.
For a research institute, that kind of practicality tends to matter more than presentation.
