A W Edwards had a full day ahead when we dropped into Lane Cove West recently. The order was built around back-to-back eating windows, and you could tell someone had thought carefully about the timing before placing it.

The morning started with a dozen croissants filled with ham, salmon, and a vegetarian option, sitting alongside a pastries platter for anyone who wanted something a little sweeter before the day got moving. The large morning and afternoon tea platter covered both ends of the day, so the team were not scrambling for food mid-afternoon.

Seventeen sandwich, wrap, and baguette platters carried the weight of what was clearly a significant lunch. That volume points to a larger group, and the mix of formats meant people could eat quickly without much fuss at the table.

Croissants at the start, platters running through to the afternoon. A W Edwards kept it practical from the first hour to the last.
