Morling College in Macquarie Park placed a solid individual lunch order this week, and the breakdown was interesting. Most of the order leaned heavily into salad bowls, with Chicken Viet coming through as the clear favourite across multiple portions. Alongside that, the Chicken Mediterranean, Hot Honey Ground Beef, and Chicken Burrito bowls filled out a lunch that covered a lot of different tastes without anyone having to compromise.
The Fattoush and Caesar bowls rounded things out on the lighter end, while a couple of individual baguettes, one Ham, Cheese and Pickle and two Chicken Banh Mi, handled the people who wanted something they could hold and eat quickly. That kind of split tends to suit a college environment well, where some people have twenty minutes and others have five.
The Eat Your Fruit and Veg salad bowl was the one that always catches our eye in an order like this. It tends to get ordered once, almost experimentally, and then it quietly appears again the next time.
