Navy Diversity & Inclusion held a function in Mosman recently, and the food was ordered with a crowd in mind. Sixty three place settings, plates, forks, and napkins, told us early that this was a proper sit down moment rather than a casual pass around.
The fontina tartlets and savoury tartlets came to eighty pieces between them, which gave guests something to reach for without any fuss. The mini frittatas, two packs of twenty four, held up well as a more substantial bite. Two small falafel platters kept things moving for guests who preferred something lighter, and the large arancini platter with three dipping sauces gave the table a natural centrepiece that people kept coming back to.
For a diversity and inclusion event, having food that genuinely suits different eating preferences without making it obvious matters more than people might think. The arancini sauces in particular gave people a reason to linger a little longer at the table.
