The Association of Independent Schools of NSW ordered lunch for what looked like a fairly sizeable gathering in Sydney, and the order reflected that. Wraps platters came in across nine units, which alongside seven sandwich and wrap platters gave the team enough handheld options to keep things moving without anyone waiting around. That kind of volume tends to work best when the food is easy to grab and go, and wraps lend themselves to exactly that.
The sushi covered a lot of ground too. Both the Mixed Favourites Sushi Platter and the Sushi and Rice Paper Rolls Party Platter were included, so people cycling through the table more than once had something different to come back to.
The salad platters sat alongside each other well in context. The Chicken Caesar, the Cous-cous, Pumpkin and Feta, and the Vegan Falafel and Beetroot Tahini each brought something different to the table without doubling up on the same flavour territory. The individual bowls, a Chicken Chipotle Burrito Bowl, a Hot Honey Ground Beef Bowl, and a Chicken Vietnamese Salad Bowl, were the kind of detail that suggests at least a few people in the team had their own preferences catered for directly.
For a workplace lunch at that scale, the falafel platter probably got more use than people expected going in.
