The Telstra team in Sydney had a solid lunch setup going, and the cold pressed juices were a big part of it. Fourteen bottles across three flavours, the watermelon, apple and mint, the orange, carrot, pineapple and ginger, and the kale, celery, ginger, apple and lemon, were spread across the table alongside the food and disappeared quickly. That kind of thing tends to happen when people have a real choice rather than just water or soft drink.
The food itself covered a lot of ground without feeling scattered. The sandwich, wrap and baguette platters did most of the heavy lifting, backed up by the chicken caesar salad and the cous-cous, pumpkin and feta, which gave people something more substantial if they skipped the handheld options. The mixed favourites sushi platter sat alongside the seasonal fruit, and between all of it, there was a clear logic to how the table came together.
For a city office at lunchtime, the fruit platter tends to go last. This time it did not.
